Portable and high quality, this super-cardioid mic captures sound with intense clarity, thanks to the unidirectional pickup pattern. With specific directional focus, this mic channels all of its phantom power or battery power energy in drawing a single from one direction only - to the exclusion of surrounding noise and distortions. This makes it ideal for broadcasting environments, including film sets and on location projects, where wind and external noise could otherwise prove a limiting factor. Frequency response ranging from 40 Hz to 20 kHz gives this Sennheiser a broad enough scope to handle more types of audio input, whether dialogue or onscreen special effects.
